Title	Contract for Abuse Testing Services for Battery Pack Level and Full-scale Vehicle Level Testing of Heating-triggered Thermal Runaway Propagation
Description	To fulfil the requirements and needs of the Battery Thermal Propagation (BaTProp) project, the European Commission's Joint Research Centre — Energy, Transport and Climate Directorate in Petten (hereafter JRC), intends hereby to procure the testing (and to use of the results obtained from that testing) of rapid heating-triggered thermal runaway propagation on:A. Battery packs used for the propulsion of electric vehicles, containing secondary lithium-ion cells; andB. A full-scale Rechargeable Electrical Energy Storage System (REESS), commonly referred to as battery system, in a vehicle, including coupled gas analysis, to be performed at the contractor(s)'s premises.
