Title	Biodiversity protection through results-based remuneration of ecological achievements.
Description	The general objective of this call is to provide for the necessary conceptual framework and the operational toolbox that would support the development of result-based agri-environment payment schemes (RBPSs) across the EU. This would entail creating a network of excellence and expertise on these schemes across the EU.The specific objectives are thus the following:1. to provide an up-to-date inventory and review of existing RBPSs in the EU and in EFTA countries;2. to establish a website which presents the existing initiatives in the EU and in EFTA countries;3. to develop a conceptual framework for the description and design of RBPSs which can be applied to different ecosystems and purposes and which enables systematic comparison of existing schemes;4. to produce a 'hands-on' manual detailing the steps to be followed and issues to be covered and addressed when designing and managing an RBPS;5. to organise a 2-day conference to exchange information among those that are currently leading or involved in the development and management or the analysis of RBPSs in the EU and in EFTA countries;6. to establish a European platform for the exchange of experiences and best practices on RBPSs.
