Title	Study on ‘Marine Genetic Resources’ Market Value and State of the Art of Commercialisation of Related Products in the Context of the BBNJ Negotiations
Description	Conduction of a study focused on the current or potential commercial value of marine genetic resources from areas beyond national jurisdictions. It will not consider the total economic value of the services provided by these resources, which includes direct use value, indirect use value, option value, bequest value and other non-use values. The aim of this study is to provide guidance for the implementation of a monetary benefit-sharing scheme that would take into consideration commercialisation of products arising from the utilisation of those resources. The goal is to provide guidance on the fairness and equity of the benefit sharing.
