Venue for the ECDC Fellowship and MediPIETs Introductory Course 2023
ECDC is an Agency of the European Union (EU) with a mission to identify, assess and communicate current and emerging threats to human health posed by infectious diseases. The ECDC Fellowship Programme enrols public health professionals for two years training in intervention epidemiology and public health microbiology. The Introductory Course is the formal start of each new cohort of fellows, offering a 3-week face-to-face training in Intervention Epidemiology. The Introductory Course 2023 involves fellows of all ECDC Fellowship Programme (EU-track and Member State (MS)-track EPIET and EUPHEM paths), the Mediterranean and Black Sea Programme for Intervention Epidemiology Training (MediPIET) and EPIET Associated Programmes. The week before the course, there is a face-to-face preparatory week for the facilitators to make the final preparations for delivering the course on site. The Introductory Course 2023 including the preparatory week is planned to take place 18/9-13/10. Expected number of persons attending varies between 35-100 with fellows staying the the full 3 week course and facilitators coming and going each week in different numbers including the preparatory week. This process is to procure the venue for mentioned activity including but not exclusively: accommodation including catering, classrooms and plenary for teaching, teaching equipment including internet access.
