Title	Management of the Administrative Secretariat of the "Co-ordination groups of the notified bodies" in the framework of the Union's New Approach Directives
Description	The purpose of the contract is the management of the administrative secretariat of the coordination groups for notified bodies. The Member States are responsible for designating these bodies, selecting them from among the testing laboratories, inspection and certification bodies under their jurisdiction. The notified bodies are encouraged to cooperate to: - acquire full understanding of the procedures and obligations resulting from application of the directives relating to them, and - guarantee proper, uniform application of the technical provisions of the directives (certification procedures) and thus limit the use by the Member States of restrictions on the placing on the market of products certified to be in conformity. The Commission supports and organizes cooperation between the bodies.
