Title	LUCAS future
Description	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. This negotiated procedure is for the outlining and assessment of potential scenarios for the future of the LUCAS (Land Use and Cover Area frame Survey) Surveys. The goal of this contract is an external assessment on how the future of a sustainable LUCAS Survey (in the following LUCAS editions) should look like. Different scenarios for the LUCAS future should be developed and they should consider: • policy requirements and use of data to be collected by the LUCAS • content (which modules, elements, others) and periodicity would best satisfy the European Commission complex needs • legal challenges, such as those arising from the necessity to access to privately held land for data and sample collection
