Digital and Web Communication Assistant services for the European Commission Representation in Latvia
Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure.

The purpose of this procurement is to ensure effective and regular communication by the European Commission Representation in Latvia on social media and on its website, in accordance with the mission’s annual work plan, the political priorities of the European Commission, the communication activities carried out by the Directorates-General and/or other European Union (EU) institutions and campaigns requiring the support and involvement of the Representation. Activities under this project should raise citizens’ awareness of the various issues related to the European Union, the policies and proposals put forward by the European Commission, the opportunities offered by the European Union for different groups of society, and the results achieved by the Union in the fields of economic, social, health, education, justice and the digital and green transitions. Social media activities should lead to the creation, publication and/or multiplication of regular, targeted and planned recordings in different formats (written, audio, video, animation, etc.), according to the specificities of each social media platform and, the needs and interests of the target audiences identified by the Representation, regular engagement of new followers, social media profiles of the parties involved in the multiplication of reports, as well as supporting the fight against disinformation and fake news by disproving disinformation narratives with fact-based original content. Communication on social media is the most cost-effective tool to communicate about the European Union and the priorities of the European Commission. Communication activities include the European Green Deal, digital development, economic recovery, solidarity with Ukraine, vaccination and a stronger EU in the world, as well as the European Commission’s REPowerEU plan and the Recovery and Resilience Facility. These topics permeate the political and communication priorities of the European Commission. The management of social media and regular replenishment of content is necessary to ensure that citizens are kept informed about the nature of these priorities and to raise awareness of their implementation and impact.
