Title	SETTING UP AND MAINTENANCE OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL LEGAL REGISTER AND COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENT FOR THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION’S REPRESENTATION / HOUSE OF EUROPE IN COPENHAGEN FOR THE PERIOD 2023 – 2026
Description	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. The Commission is implementing the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) Regulation and has been EMAS registered since 2005, pursuing the objective to include in the EMAS registration its activities at all locations around Europe . Currently, the Commission’s EMAS registration covers activities at eight sites: Brussels (Belgium), Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Petten (Netherlands), Geel (Belgium), Sevilla (Spain), Karlsruhe (Germany), Ispra (Italy), Grange (Ireland). In 2020, the Commission decided to expand progressively the geographical scope of its EMAS management and registration to the Commission Representations in Member States. This is done in partnership with the European Parliament’s Liaison Offices (EPLOs) with whom Representations share the premises, also known as Houses of Europe. At all locations, which are part of the Commission’s and the European Parliament’s EMAS scope, it is required to draw up and maintain a detailed Environmental Legal Register and to ensure and demonstrate conformity with the related legal regulations. Under the EMAS Regulation, these requirements are subject to regular internal audits and to external audit verifications. With this call for tenders and the intended framework contract, the Commission pursues the objective of complying with the requirements of the EMAS Regulation and of maintaining its EMAS registration.
