Title	Technical assistance under the area of harmonised standards.
Description	The purpose of the service contract is to provide technical assistance to the Commission by managing the pool of harmonised standards consultants (‘HAS Consultants’) who will be selected after 1 or several open calls launched by the contracting authority. The contract will cover the technical assistance under the Commission requested European standardisation where the requested standards or parts thereof could be incorporated by a reference into Union acts and where such standards or parts thereof could have a legal effect. It covers in particular technical assistance under Union harmonisation legislation for products (i.e. ‘NLF/new approach’ legislation) but is not restricted to that.
