Title
Study on the IP implications of the development of industrial 3D printing.
Description
The objective of the study is to analyse and clarify how the existing IP framework concretely brings protection to IP rights holders, and identify possible gaps and opportunities, or needs for clarification. The study shall analyse how the use of IPRs could stimulate the development of 3D printing technologies (best practices of IP exploitation, model licensing schemes, etc.), what are the current perceived IP barriers for further development of additive manufacturing (AM) technologies, and how could they be removed.
