Conduction of a European-Wide “Stress Test” of the Regional Capacities and Mechanisms to Respond to a Major Oil Spill
Description
The objective of the contract resulting from this procedure is the development of a methodology and of a software tool to carry out a European wide “stress test” of the regional capacities and mechanisms in the field of response to oil spills caused by ships or by offshore installations. A “stress test” is defined as a series of table-top exercises incorporating all response resources and response techniques available to Member States and EMSA to respond to a major oil spill in any of the regional sea basins within European waters.
