Assistance to the Commission on Technical, Socio-Economic, Environmental and Cost-Benefit Assessments related to the Implementation and further Development of EU Waste Legislation
The aim of the contract is to assist the commission through technical, socio-economic, environmental and cost-benefit assessments related to the implementation and further development of EU waste legislation in a circular economy context. EU waste legislation represents a sizable body of legislation and over the next years EU waste policy should continue to focus on the proper implementation of the current waste acquis and future reviews in order to make the current law better suited to meet the EU’s strategic objective of becoming a resource-efficient society and thus moving towards a circular economy in the EU. External expertise will be required on administrative, legal and technical questions to support the commission in its task of improving the implementation and reviewing the waste acquis. This framework contract will be concluded to provide services to the commission in support of implementing and further developing waste legislation and policy.
