Title	Athena 18-2 Role 2 Services: Lot 1 and Lot 2
Description	Currently, Athena seeks for the provision of Role 2 equivalent services for land-based military European Union led operations and missions. The geographical areas in which those are currently conducted cover Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mali, Central African Republic and Somalia.As a result of the present procurement open procedure and subject to the approval of the Athena special committee, Athena will sign multiple frameworks contracts (FWC) with the successful tenders. The number of contractors for the multiple FWC will be 3.The multiple FWC may take the form of separate specific contracts signed in identical terms with each contractor.The requirements of each specific contract for services will clearly differ when it comes to the exact location, duration, size, set-up, security, risk, ease of access, etc. The tenderers must therefore be able to handle a very different set of requirements for each situation.

Lot 1	Lot 1: Role 2 F Equivalent (Forward) Services	Services for a Role 2 F equivalent (Forward) cover a forward deployable medical capability being able to provide resuscitative and primary surgical treatment to control bleeding, maintain circulation, restore perfusion and preserve life, limb and function in a remote, austere or even less secure environment.Resources are limited in diagnostic, supply, operating and holding and depend on timely medical evacuation to capabilities with an extended skills and capacity profile. Provision of infrastructure does in general not belong to Lot 1, but may be requested as an (desirable) option in the reopening of tender.
Lot 2	Lot 2: Role 2 B/(E) Equivalent (Basic/(Enhanced)) Services	Services for a Role 2 B equivalent (Basic) are provided in stationary Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) enabling life, limb and function preserving resuscitative and surgical intervention. They comprise triage, essential laboratory and imaging diagnostics, damage control resuscitation (DCR), Damage control surgery (DCS), short-term post-operative critical care, limited patient holding (ward) and medical supply.Provision of infrastructure does in general not belong to Lot 2, but may be requested as an (desirable) option in the reopening of tender.
