Supply of Statistical Services in Statistical Methodology
The methodological framework contracts are meant to be a tool that allows mobilising leading experts to provide highly specialised methodological support and methodological analyses to Eurostat and other Commission services. The main objective of the lot ‘Methodological support’ is to provide methodological support in all statistical areas from process design to data dissemination. The main objective of the lot ‘Methodological help-desk’ is to provide ad-hoc methodological support and methodological studies as requested. The main objective of the lot ‘Technical support in methodology and for the production of statistics’ is to provide technical support in statistical methodology to the European Commission for statistical projects aiming at developing new statistics and services for which a significant methodological input is required.

Methodological Support
The main objective of the lot ‘Methodological support’ is to provide methodological support in all statistical areas from process design to data dissemination as mentioned above. Most likely, emphasis will be put in the coming four years on statistical areas related to data validation, data analytics, data visualisation/dissemination and new methods for new data sources integration (e.g.: big-data and smart statistics). Objectives also cover support to the quality assessment exercise, optimisation and integration of statistical production processes, evaluation of realisation and benefits of different ESS-wide projects, and awareness rising and coachings on current and new statistical methods and tools.
