Title	Update and Extension of the Labour Market Model
Description	In order to improve the Commission's understanding of the transmission mechanisms of labour market policies in the context of the European Employment Strategy, the Commission has developed through contracted external experts a labour market model (LMM). The purpose of the study is twofold:1) All input data of LMM must be updated. The contractor should produce a version of the existing LMM with the latest available statistical and institutional data. Introducing the new data will require a re-calibration of the model. The update must be thoroughly documented, enabling Commission staff to carry out updates independently in the future;2) In order to better describe structural changes that may be triggered by those measures/shocks, the model should be extended so that it can distinguish not only workers’ age and their education level, but also the economic sector they are working in. The contractor will provide a separate version of the model which includes the extension.
