The aim of this procurement procedure is to conclude a framework contract for the development, publication and maintenance of an Open Access European Food Composition Database (EU FCDB) together with related datasets and Environmental Footprint of Food Database (EFF Database).This tender is divided into the following two lots:• Lot 1 – Open Access European Food Composition Database (EU FCDB) and related datasets,• Lot 2 – Environmental Footprint of Food Database (EFF Database).

Lot 1
Open Access European Food Composition Database (EU FCDB) and Related Datasets
Specific objectives of this procurement procedure related to the lot 1 are divided in two phases:1. The first phase aims at defining the quality standards for the inclusion of data into the EU FCDB database;2. The second phase aims at collecting the food composition data of foods mapped to the latest version of the FoodEx2 catalogue according to the guidance document approved at the end of the first phase. Data from FCDBs from at least 16 EU, EFTA and IPA countries, evaluated in the first phase, must be collected and made available to EFSA via Data Collection Framework (DCF).
Lot 2
Environmental Footprint of Food Database (EFF Database)
Specific objectives of this procurement procedure related to lot 2 are divided in two phases:1. Identify the most relevant input databases (e.g. EU Product Environmental Footprint, Ecoinvent, Agrifootprint, Agribalyse, Sphera DB, Quantis food, DK food, etc.) which contains information/data needed to calculate environmental footprint of food products based on the Environmental Footprint Life Cycle Assessment (EF LCA) models and deliver a report on their characteristics, pros and cons, quality, completeness and suitability related to the specific aim, accessibility etc;2. Deliver a guidance for creation and maintenance of an Environmental Footprint of Food Database (EFF Database) based on the EF LCA models in view of its use for assessment of the environmental impact of the EU dietary patterns, as reported in the EFSA Comprehensive European Food Consumption Database (Comprehensive Database).
