Title	Preparation and promotion of the EU themed comic books from the Paneuropa series
Description	The subject of the tender procedure is to prepare and promote EU-themed Paneuropa comic series. These comic books, related to the publications released in the 2019-2021, will focus on various issues covered by the EU agenda depicted in a reader-friendly way, and are mainly addressed to young audience (15+), students and readers who are not familiar with European policies. The idea behind the series is to use characters from the European mythology and folk stories engaged into comic plots with the objective of presenting a variety of issues addressed by actions taken by the EU and its institutions (migration crisis, fundamental rights, use of EU funds, multilingualism, cooperation within the EU, European values etc.). The comic contents are intended to bring the EU’s activities closer to the audience in a light and attractive way. A more detailed description of the initiatives, policies and proposals placed in the backdrop of the storyline will be given in the introduction and at back pages of the publication (to be provided by the EC). The contractor will provide a script and graphics developed by professional comic authors/artists. Along with its tender, the contractor will present proposed authors’ portfolios (at least three comic books written/illustrated over the recent three years, i.e. 2019-2021), including that of a graphic designer of an alternative cover. The contractor will provide a professional translation of the comic book into English made by a literary translator specialised in comics. The contractor will ensure that a professional linguistic revision of the script is made in both language versions (Polish and English), as well as of the contents provided by the EC (linguistic revision). The contractor will ensure a professional editing and layout and prepare ready-for-print PDF files. The contractor will coordinate and oversee the printing with a print house indicated by the EC Representation in Poland, as well as secure the delivery of the printed copies to the EC Representation in Poland. The contractor will perform promotional activities agreed with the EC Representation in Poland, including project media campaign (interviews in local and national media, previews and reviews released a week before indicated events, in particular the premiere presentation of the comic book), ensuring the presence of an EC Representation’s stand at main comic art and pop culture events, in particular the International Games and Comic Festival in Łódź (venue of the premiere presentation). The contractor will be responsible for design and manufacture of promo items to be made available visitors to the EC Representation’s stand at selected comic art and pop culture events.
