Заглавие	EDS simulants development for production upscale using an external partner
Описание	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. The goal of this project is to develop alternative compositions for solid bulk EDS (Explosive Detection System) simulants used in JRC-S4S-500 kit and to measure a series of energetic materials from different families of explosives using CT X-ray (that will be provided by JRC). The purpose of developing alternative compositions for solid bulk EDS simulants is to outsource and significantly increase the EDS simulants production to be able to satisfy the market demand for the JRC-S4S-500 kits. The purpose of measuring different families of energetic materials using CT X-ray scanner is to to obtain new data on effective atomic numbers and densities which will allow us to design EDS simulants and ensure that their properties match those of real energetic materials.
