Titel	BIODIVERSITY, AGRICULTURAL PRACTICES AND ECONOMIC SUSTAINABILITY AND BIODIVERSITY IN FARMING SYSTEMS IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA
Beskrivelse	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle value procedure (read more here). The objective of this study is to undertake a comprehensive analysis of the functioning of farming systems in different countries of Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), with a specific focus on the impacts on biodiversity. Various case studies will be selected in rural areas, representing the diversity of farming systems and agro-ecological conditions in developing countries, and notably SSA. In each of the case study, a sound methodology will be applied for the characterization of the functioning of farming systems and for the collection of data related to the various dimension of their sustainability, completed by the collection of detailed and specific data for the construction of biodiversity indicators related to botanic, entomologic (e.g. pollinator) and soil biodiversity.
