Title	Mainstreaming of climate change adaptation at the local level: launch of a climate change adaptation initiative for cities within the framework of the Covenant of Mayors.
Description	This service contract envisages launching an initiative for climate change adaptation in European cities. The initiative shall be using a similar approach to the one applied by the Covenant for Mayors for climate change mitigation. Main tasks include a.o. to set up such an initiative and to engage cities in the process, to get their local political commitment, to support cities in the process of setting up/implementing local adaptation plans, and to communicate and raise awareness for climate impacts in urban areas.
