Title	Study on the Implementation of the New Provisions in the Future Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD) — SMART 2018/0066
Description	1) Video-sharing platforms: the study would provide a snapshot of the video-sharing platforms in the EU. The study would document, inter alia, their technical specificities, the measures already in place to protect users from hate speech and content harmful to minors, whether and how they enforce their terms of service and their practices regarding commercial communications. 2) Media ownership rules and transparency: this study will map and provide a legal analysis of relevant legislations at national level, as well as assess the effectiveness of their implementation. The final output will include a website presenting this mapping and linking to information sources on media ownership. 3) Overlays in audiovisual media services: the study would provide a snapshot of the market situation in at least the EU and US. The study would document the technical possibilities and map Member States' legislation in this area. This study would help gain insights into the legal implications.
