Title	Supply standard Gloveboxes
Description	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. ‘The JRC-Geel located in Geel (Belgium) is one of the seven scientific institutes of the Joint Research Centre (JRC), a Directorate-General of the European Commission. For its work in the field of nuclear safety, security and safeguards, JRC Geel intends to buy two identical nuclear gloveboxes designed for the handling of radioactive material. They need to be connected to an extraction system of a nuclear controlled area and permitting working in a lower pressure than the surrounding laboratory in order to confine radioactive particles and prevent contamination of the laboratory. The gloveboxes should be designed in a way to allow easy and safe handling, throughput and storage of (radioactive) material while providing good visibility. The contract must include delivery, assembling and commissioning of the equipment. A warranty period of 24 months should also be included in the offer and will start after the final acceptance. Indicative inner dimensions (in mm): length: 1000-1200, height: 1000-1200, depth: 650-750. The exact dimensions will be proposed in the concept drawings.’ [ View translations ]
