Título	Update of the information technology tool for advanced analysis and visualisation of the main strengths and specific niches for six economies of the Western Balkans
Descripción	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. The objective of this contract is to update the IT tool delivered to the European Commission (EC) within the Science and technology panorama of the Western Balkans, which aims at collecting, analysing and presenting data on patents, scientific publications and R&D&I projects. To achieve that, the relevant data needs to be analysed in such a way to allow for an assessment of specific strengths, weaknesses and emerging STI topics for the Western Balkans as a region and each of the 6 economies that constitute it in terms of technological and scientific fields and topics, as well as for matching the emerging fields and topics with the economic domains identified in the report “Science and technology panorama of the Western Balkans” (please see Annex 1). Based on such update, interactive and static visualisations of the results should be given in such a way that they are possible to be embedded on the S3 Platform webpage. The IT tool update should also include internal and international collaboration patterns within scientific and technological topics and fields, including co-patenting, co-publishing and common R&D&I projects. The methodology developed has to be consistent with the Smart Specialisation guidance from the European Commission.
