Teideal	Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) proof of concept. Equipment installation, configuration and tests
Tuairisc	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. The application of drone (Unmanned Aircraft Systems UASs) is becoming very popular in many areas and U-Space services are maturing in parallel with implementation of the new drone regulations. In Europe drone use is increasing rapidly with services in agriculture, transport, survey, surveillance etc. However, there is potential for misuse of drones: they can be used to breach privacy, for espionage by using cameras or other sensors, to hijack telecommunication signals and in combination with biological or chemicals agents, explosives or other weapons they could harm persons, disrupt services and damage infrastructure. The JRC DRONE project is doing research on how to counter UAS around critical infrastructure. As part of this research JRC will do a proof of concept (PoC) counter UAS installation on the JRC Geel site. The lessons learned from this PoC will be included in the handbook to critical infrastructure owners. The proof of concept will include material and services to: • Install Software, infrastructure, ICT system, services and all material needed for this • Install and configure a UTM (C2C) system to merge data from the all the sensors specified in list • Spectrum analysis equipment and all material, service needed to connect this to UTM system • Remoter eID detectors (2) and all linked material and service to add this to the UTM system • Short range radar according to specification and all material and service needed to connect this to UTM • UAS detection camera with all services and material needed to connect this to UTM system • Test drones flown by a certified drone pilot • Operators and management staff to complete the PoC.
