Tuairisc	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. The Food Security Unit of the JRC, AGRI4CAST project, seeks to contract the provision of near-real time daily observations from more than 2000 weather stations available through the Global Telecommunications System of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO-GTS), for a six-month period. Weather parameters include precipitation, air temperature, air humidity, and wind speed; data quality control and transmission to JRC in near-real time (24/7) will be an integral part of the contract. The data are used in the context of crop monitoring over the winter period in Europe.
