Pilot study of the SELFIEforTEACHERS version for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)
Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure.

This call follows both DigCompEdu framework (https://publications.jrc.ec.europa.eu/repository/handle/JRC107466) and the Digital Education Action Plan (2021-2027; https://education.ec.europa.eu/focus-topics/digital-education/action-plan) in developing SELFIEforTEACHERS, a self-reflection instrument for educators. Almost 140,000 school education teachers have already registered in the tool, allowing them to reflect on their digital practices, test their practical knowledge and guide them in further developing their skills. The objective of this study is to provide an adapted version of SELFIEforTEACHERS for Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) professionals, which (i) will inform policy making and research and (ii) will provide a practical instrument to education stakeholders empowering them to promote digital competence. The study is expected to involve researchers, ECEC leaders as well as ECEC professionals. The expected outcomes are (i) a reliable and valid adapted SELFIEforTEACHERS version for ECEC professionals and (ii) an increase awareness in the digital competence for ECEC professionals.
