Titlu	Background data collection for waste oil treatment
Descriere	Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority’s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. The objective of this contract is to provide detailed technical and socio-economic data with regard to waste oil treatment options, including regeneration and energy recovery. The data to be provided via this work shall enable a detailed assessment of the environmental (including environmental externalities) and socio-economic performance of waste oil regeneration to lubricating base oils, as compared to the energy recovery from combustion of waste oils (as e.g. fuel oils or marine bunker fuels). NB: the detailed assessment itself is out of the scope of the present study. The study shall only consider the different ways in which collectable waste oils are collected and subsequently treated in the EU. In other words, it shall not cover the fate of collectable waste oils that are not properly collected and that are disposed of in an informal or illegal way. The Contractor must perform the following two main tasks during the implementation of the contract: Task 1 – Technical data collection on waste oil treatment options, Task 2 – Socio-economic data collection on waste oil treatment options.
