In the experience of the Commission, how many countries usually decide not to write large programmes like the ones expected in this process in their own language but in English, French or German?

In the current programming period, 2007-2013, some of the programmes from the new Member States were drafted in e.g. English rather than in the official language of the Member State. This approach, however, is somewhat exceptional and was in some cases linked to the use of pre-accession financial assistance. Therefore, it cannot be assumed that a Member State would continue the same approach for the programming period 2014-2020.
