FWC for Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of the VELA Laboratory -Lot 4
Mistoqsija
Dear JRC, could you please clarify if the corrective maintenance activities (in the amount as described in ID2 of Lot 4) will be part of the FWC, or if only the man-day prices will be part of the FWC and corrective maintenance activities will be booked only in case of need? Can you also define how many callouts should be allowed for? Or better, is it allowed to give the cost for callouts separately, and not included in man- day price? Thanks

The general approach of the FWC is to define unit prices on the basis of which specific orders will be issued in case of need. The scenario proposed in the call for tender represents a realistic forecast of the expected preventive and corrective interventions which however, is only used to compare offers from different market players. The actual orders for preventive and corrective maintenance will be issued on the basis of the real needs and there is no obligation for the JRC to purchase any of the services defined in the contract. As stated in paragraph 4.2.3 of the Administrative Annex, the offer for the corrective maintenance shall be expressed as a daily rate and shall include manpower, travel time, expenses and consumables (not spare parts) to perform the corrective maintenance for each of the relevant types of equipment listed in the Tender specifications – part 2. The cost of the callout is therefore included in this daily rate.
