Can you please explain the definition of ‘own funds’, as this is a broad concept? Is our assumption correct that you are referring to ‘equity capital’?

This assumption is correct. Own funds is considered the total equity or net assets of the company and these may include paid up capital reserves, results carried forward, subsidies etc. The debt ratio will measure the independence of the operator through the composition of invested capital.
