Qustions - Provision of Web Usability Services (160306/4053)
Dear Eurofound, we would like ask you few questions regarding the Tender Specifications. Thus, we would like to kindly ask you to answer them. Our questions are: ad 3.2.: "The aim of the contract resulting from this call for tenders is to contract a provider to ensure that all web products and services developed or adapted by or for Eurofound are designed and developed considering users’ needs and according to a high standard of usability." 1. Did Eurofound conduct any type of user research previously? If yes, is it possible to get the results? 2. The perfect knowledge of a potential user is essential for our work. Do you have definition of user segments, personas or user stories? If yes, is it possible to know the details? How old are these deliverables, who conducted the research, can we use it for our usability studies? Ad 3.3.: "Usability studies on current and future Eurofound websites, applications and products." 3. Can you define all of the current projects? 4. Do you have any plans for the future projects already? 5. There is mentioned term "product". What exactly do you mean as a product? Do you mean specifically digital products only? Ad 3.3: "Organisation and provision of face-to-face and online usability workshops with Agency staff and/or main stakeholders." 6. We can conduct workshops only as a presentation of the usability studies results just as we can conduct workshops on user research, usability testing, micro-sites, campaigns, landing pages or complete websites design, design studio and sketching methods and many others UX workshops. Do you have any idea of how they should look like and about the benefits for your team? 7. Do you have already your main stakeholders identified? If so, who selected them? 8. Who will be in charge of recruiting the subjects for the usability workshops? Thank you very much in advance for your answers. On behalf of our team, Petr Soukeník

1. Eurofound carries out annual user satisfaction surveys. The Executive Summary of the latest report, which covers web usage among other issues, is available which we have uploaded. 2. User profiles are included in the user satisfaction survey. This work was done by GfK in 2015 and is available. 3. Everything which is currently included in the Eurofound website. 4. During the next year, Eurofound wants to revamp its approach to country level information. Currently we have national landing pages, such as http://www.eurofound.europa.eu/countries/Belgium, and working life country profiles such as http://www.eurofound.europa.eu/observatories/eurwork/comparative-information/national-contributions/belgium/belgium-working-life-country-profile. This is confusing and there is considerable overlap. This is just one example of a planned project; others will emerge over the contract period. 5. Yes, we are referring to digital products. 6. This is a broad formulation intended to cover whatever type of workshop is needed as those needs are defined. 7. Yes, our main stakeholders are defined in our founding regulation, and we have further elaborated this to make it operational. This document can be shared with the eventual contractor. 8. The contractor will be responsible. Eurofound will provide input to the process, and on some occasions, may directly contact potential participants. But the contractor will be in charge of ensuring suitable participants are used.
