Lot 1, number of channels and polarity of IDAS
From the technical specification of Lot 1 I read that IDAS system must be connected to IRDS defined in lots 2,3,4 and to the already existing Three HPGe detectors, one NaI(Tl) and Veto System (item c, chapter - technical specification Lot 1). So, in summary: 1) how many signal channels are there for HPGe? 2) How many channels for NaI? 3) How many channels for Veto system? 4) How many of them has to be acquired simoultaneously during a measurement?
Please find below the answers to the questions above: 1) Each HpGe has 2 output signals: 1 for energy, 1 for timing (for VETO anti-coincidence) 2) The NaI(Tl) detector has 2 output signals: 1 for energy, 1 for timing (for VETO anti-coincidence) 3) The VETO system (several plastic scintillators) has one or more output signals (OR). The signal (OR) has to be connected in anticoincidence with the signals of the HpGe and NaI(Tl) detectors 4) The answer is to be found in point. "Digital Signal Processing modules. The aim these modules is to process the data acquisition from multiple detectors (up to 16 detectors per module) simultaneously." During a measurement it will be possible to acquire simultaneously signals from NaI(Tl) and HpGe detectors and to connect them in anti-coincidence with the VETO system. All the detectors of the VETO system will be simultaneously in OR acquisition mode during each measurement.
