Is it possible to have specific information regarding the certification requirements ? We understand certification is required for labs carrying on the WLTP tests but the RDE and PEMS testing do not require any time of approval. Is this correct?

According to the new RDE4 rules, which will be effective at the time of execution of this contract, all laboratories performing ISC tests, including the RDE tests with PEMS, are required to hold at least the ISO 17025, while inspection bodies need to be accredited at least for ISO 17020. See relevant text from the RDE4 below: "Inspection bodies and laboratories performing ISC checks, that are not a designated technical service, shall be accredited according to EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 for the ISC procedure. Laboratories performing ISC tests and which are not designated technical services within the meaning of Article 41 of Directive 2007/46, may only undertake ISC testing if they are accredited according to EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017."
