Frontex/RP/1485/2019/SB re. Invitation Letter_Application submission
We refer to your ‘Invitation Letter RP1485’, which states that the signed Request to Participate must be submitted in PAPER in one (1) original, three (3) copies plus an electronic version, and shipped to the address of Frontex_Procurement Sector, in Poland. Due to the severe restrictions imposed by the Italian Government in order to prevent the spreading of the Coronavirus COVID- 19, in these last weeks the industry staff has been invited to perform its working activities at home (‘smart working’) until the next 3rd April. This situation would then make it impossible to print and prepare the package to be delivered for the submission of the relative application. Consequently, we would like to ask Frontex to possibly consider and allow the candidates to submit their applications (digitally signed) via the ELECTRONIC submission system (e-Submission) of the TED e-Tendering Platform of the European Commission, as an alternative exceptional circumstance.

The electronic submission system (e-Submission) of the TED e-Tendering Platform does not support restricted procedures (two phases tendering procedure). Frontex is working on the solution to allow the electronic submission of the Request to Participate. The announcement shall be provided soon. Please note that the standard paper submission and electronic submission of the Request to Participate will be accepted. Please note that all electronic submitted the Request to Participate must to be either signed manually and scanned or sign electronically with e-signature.
