Volume and value of the Contract
It is stated on P25 of the tender specification that the maximum amount for execution of all tasks is 600000 Euro and a possible renewal with a maximum amount of 200000 Euro could be made. However it states that within three years from start the Contracting Authority may procure new services up to a maximum of 50% of the initial contract value. Assuming the initial contract value to be 600000, 50% would be 300000 Euro. If contracted would this sum of 300000 Euro be in addition to the possible renewal in year three of the original contract of 200,000 Euro (i.e. extending the renewed contract over the initial 36 + 12 months) or would these new services be obtained instead of/ as replacement of the possible renewal?

These are 2 separate cases: 1. Repetition of similar services: Within the period of 3 years from the contract signature the contracting authority can use a negotiated procedure to buy from the contractor new services consisting in the repetition of similar services. The similar services must conform to a basic project which was advertised along with the initial procurement and cannot exceed 50% of the initial contract value (EUR 600 000 x 50% = up to EUR 300.000 ). This is a procurement procedure that is different from the current open tender and it can be applied only during the performance of the original contract. 2. Renewal: The contract may be renewed for 12 additional months depending on the future needs and on the budget availability. The maximum amount for the possible renewal is EUR 200 000 including all charges and expenses. The renewal is not a procurement procedure but a contractual option.
