REFORM/2021/EA-OP/0005- Clarification Request for item 1.8 Ultra-Low Temperature Freezer (-86oC) (Question 1)
Technical specifications describe that "Ultra-low temperature freezer (ULT freezer) must have a temperature range from maximum -10oC to -86oC and may be used for the storage of, enzymes, chemicals, viruses, bacteria, among others." According to our market research, there is no product in the market that meets this specification. For -86C devices, the temperature range is usually given as -40 to -86. We think there is a typo in the technical specification. In order to offer for the tender, we kindly request that the specification be changed as follows. "Ultra-low temperature freezer (ULT freezer) must have a temperature range from maximum -40oC to -86oC and may be used for the storage of, enzymes, chemicals, viruses, bacteria, among others.

The following requirement “Ultra-low temperature freezer (ULT freezer) must have a temperature range from maximum -10°C to -86°C and may be used for the storage of, enzymes, chemicals, viruses, bacteria, among others” will be replaced by “Ultra-low temperature freezer (ULT freezer) must have a temperature range of -65°C to -86°C and may be used for the storage of, enzymes, chemicals, viruses, bacteria, among others.” See corrigendum number 1 to the technical specifications
